From Saas-Grund, you can take the gondola to the Kreuzboden mountain (altitude of 2400 m) or even higher to Hohsaas (3100 m with breathtaking panoramic views of mountaintops over 4,000 m!). Here you will find the sunny, attractive and snow-sure skiing area of Kreuzboden-Hohsaas. This ski region is small and offers 34 km of slopes: easy and wide slopes for beginners and a challenging glacier slope (from Hohsaas) for advanced skiers. As far as numbers of kilometres are concerned, it has fewer than Saas-Fee, but that is what makes it a great destination for less demanding skiers and for families with young children! Kreuzboden has a kids park called Hohsi Snowland, where young skiers can play and learn to ski. There is also a fun park, junior park, ‘Rennparcours’, Buckel slope, and an 11 km-long sledding slope from Kreuzboden to Saas-Grund. At the bottom, in Saas-Grund, there is a cross-country track, ice skating rink and snowtubing slope (200 m).
