Bartholomäberg, the ‘sun balcony’ of Montafon
The historic and charming mountain village of Bartholomäberg (1100 m), which is made up of the villages of Innerberg, Gantschier and Jetztmunt, owes its nickname ‘the sun balcony of Montafon’ to its sunny exposure. In fact, it is one of the sunniest holiday regions in all the Alps! Bartholomäberg itself does not have any ski lifts. To go skiing, you need to travel to Schruns (2.2 km away) by car or bus. From Schruns you have the choice of two gondolas to Hochjoch (2520 m), part of the enormous Montafon skiing area. Bartholomäberg itself is a true paradise for winter walking. Together with the neighbouring villages, this area is often referred to as the ‘Winterwander El Dorado’. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings from one of our holiday homes, ski chalets or apartments in Bartholomäberg.
