Nearby is Lake Oxhultasjön, an exciting lake with wonderful walking paths and a rich bird life. A short drive away is the town of Hishult with both a well-known art gallery and a fine inn. The nearest bathing place is in Sjöaltesjön. In the area there is also café Kvarnen in Kornhult. Here you can enjoy good and well-prepared food, good coffee, live music and activities for children and adults all summer! Only a short drive takes you to both Mellbystrand's fine beaches and the summer town of Laholm. Lagan, which offers fine salmon fishing, curls here. The nearby Smedjeån also has good fishing. Fishing license applies. You also have the nice summer towns of Halmstad and Båstad within easy reach. For those interested in golf, Laholms Gk is the closest.
