You are close to nice bathing spots down by Virserumssjön where you can enjoy a nice dip. In the large house you have a combined living room with a nice dining area where you can light a fire and enjoy in front of the fireplace (own wood is included). The sofa in the living room is a sofa bed for 1 person. There is a small kitchen with most things you need. In the main house there are 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with a bunk bed. Behind the cottage there is a football field. There is also much else to experience in the area, "Smålands Grand Canyon" More Kastell is a rock ravine that is amazingly beautiful. The famous Dacke Cave where the wounded Nils Dacke was hidden away from Gustav Wasa's troops is very close by. Some distance away there is the opportunity to cycle the dressage on Smalspåret (booked at smalsparet.com). There is a museum, art gallery and herb garden in Virserum that are well worth a visit. Emån is known for its fine fishing, it is also good fishing in Virserumssjön. If you want to make a day trip, Astrid Lindgren's world and the kingdom of glass are a few miles away.
