Directly in front of the accommodation is the Dorpsgracht. From there, you can easily sail to the lake (Bovenwiede), just 500 m from the accommodation. A nice walking or cycling trip to Dwarsgracht is also worthwhile, as is a day trip to Meppel. In Meppel, you will find a subtropical swimming pool and a climbing park, among other things.
