Horizons Du Lac

Quietly located holiday resort near the mountain village of Chorges and about 500 m from the lake of Serre-Ponçon; a magnificent reservoir in the Hautes-Alpes. There's an on-site restaurant with terrace, offering a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains. There also is a delightful covered swimming pool with sauna, Turkish bath and fitness room. There are three tennis courts, a climbing wall, sports field and a boules court. The lake has a nice swimming spot and you can rent pedaloes, too. Near Embrun there's a possibility for paragliding.
The nearby National Park des Ecrins offers many nice possibilities for outings. Mountain hikers and mountain bikers will enjoy themselves greatly here.

In the winter months, Chorges also offers a great starting point for not too fanatical winter sports enthusiasts.
The small, family-friendly skiing area of ​​Réallon is located at a distance of approx. 15 km, with beautiful views of the lake Serre-Ponçon. During French school holidays there is a bus (navette, about 8, - p.p.). At about 18 km the domain of Ancelle at 1350m altitude.There are also possibilities to go skiing with your own car for a day in Vars, Superdévoluy or Orcières-Merlette.
