The large Polari Resort is 3.5 km away, south of the historic centre of the beautiful city of Rovinj. It is located directly on a bay with a beach in a wooded area. In addition to a campsite, the resort consists of a number of luxury chalets.
Polari Resort offers many facilities for young and old. You will never be bored. There is a large swimming pool (about 1,500 m2), also for children, a spray park (a water playground for the smaller kids, with three more small swimming pools). There are a variety of sporting companies in the area, such as (table)tennis, football, billiards, and fitness, but you can also learn how to dive. For the kids, there are various playgrounds spread throughout the resort. For some facilities, a fee may be requested. Various activities are organised for both children and adults. There is a mini-disco, karaoke evenings, a mini club, workshops, theme nights, live music and more. And then, of course, there is a 2 km. long beach (with different types of beaches, fine pebble, rock or concrete). You can be assured of a clean sea and beach when you see the blue flag flying. You will find showers here, and you can rent loungers and parasols, as well as at the pool. There is also a separate beach where dogs are allowed.
There are various restaurants at Resort Polari. Whether you like meat or fish, you will always find something to your liking. For a quick bite, there is a snack Adria. There are also a number of bars to be found, both at the pool and at the beach. And finally, there are ice cream carts where you can enjoy a tasty frozen treat.
But there is also more than enough to do in the area. Beautiful Rovinj, with its characteristic tower on the city hill, is easily reached via a footpath along the bay. Characterized by the Romans and in the hands of the Venetians until 1797. A visit to this historic city, located on a peninsula, is a must; a lovely harbour and fine restaurants. Of course, there are also the famous places like Pula (38 km.) with its arena and many restaurants, shops and terraces. From here it is also possible to visit the beautiful Venice. Then, by means of a speedboat, you can travel over the water and reach your destination in about 3 hours. You can also choose to go by car (approx. 250 km.). A visit to the well-known seaside town of Opatija (about 85 km.) and the town of Rijeka (about 125 km.) is worth the effort. Aquapark Istralandia (approx. 50 km.) is recommended for lovers of water fun. For hikers, the interior of Istria is recommended. And you should try a traditional konoba. Here you will be treated to delicious regional dishes and wines. A visit to the nearby Brioni Islands (Brijuni National Park) is also recommended. You reach Brijuni by boat from the port of Fazana near Pula. The surrounding area also lends itself to dolphin watching.
In short, a great destination for young and old, whether you are travelling in high season or not!
