The lively town of Chamonix makes for a perfect holiday destination both in summer and in winter. Résidence Isatis is situated at an altitude of 1,000 m, in the district of Les Tines, halfway between the centre of Chamonix and the village of Argentière.
Winter sports enthusiasts will love it here as Chamonix is the birthplace of skiing. This vast ski resort consists of the skiing areas of Les Grands Montets, Le Domaine de Balme, Les Domaines de Brévent, Flégère and Le Domaine des Houches. A total of 80 pistes, 150 kilometres of trails altogether. Advanced skiers mustn't miss the opportunity to ski down the L'Aiguille du Midi: a spectacular experience!
There's a vibrant and international après-ski scene and there are plenty of nice restaurants to choose from in the evenings. Chamonix Mont-Blanc is attractive in winter for non-skiers, too.
And Chamonix also offers lots of sports activities in summer. The imposing Mont-Blanc, situated on the borders of Italy, Switzerland and France, can be seen from afar.
A cable-car tour up to the top of the L'Aguille du Midi is absolutely worthwhile. Other interesting sights to visit include the glacier, the ice cave and the various museums in the area. Active holidaymakers have lots of mountain activities to choose from. And there's a golf course around the corner of your 'résidence'.
In the evenings, you can find some excellent restaurants in the attractive centre of Chamonix.
