Holiday home for 14 people in Maçanet de la Selva

We (a family with 2 older children) and Grandpa and Grandma were allowed to use this Villa for a week in October 2021. The key was neatly in the key box as agreed (note! The arrival time is 16:00 and not 11: 00 as stated on the Belvilla site). The ride up the mountain is very steep, so be careful. A short walk is not possible if you have difficulty walking. Car is really a priority. The house was very clean and smelled wonderful. On arrival, 1 of the shutters was broken so that unfortunately not all the light in the living room / kitchen could penetrate. After day 1 we found out that the hot water supply only worked on the solar collectors. Reported this to the rental agency on Sunday. Just got a response that they were going to work on it. The same day a mechanic came by and looked at it. Unfortunately he couldn't fix it. Neatly spoken to by the Dutch landlord, that another mechanic would come the next day who would solve it. The next day the mechanic came and found that the heat pump was defective. Unfortunately, the problem has not been resolved during the week. Fortunately, the weather was beautiful almost all week, so we still had a little warm water. Unfortunately, no feedback was received during the week. Now this sounds like a bad experience, but on the contrary. We nevertheless had a wonderful week with the six of us. The bedrooms are equipped with lovely Karlson box springs. Lovely pillows and blankets. The table linen, bed linen and towels are delicious. The house is spacious and very nicely finished. Dutch television. 2 lovely baking rooms and a phenomenal view, especially from the roof terrace. The house is built in the mountain, so it is wonderfully sheltered from the neighbors and even in October it was a wonderful place to stay. Almost had no problems with the wind that was there now and then. We made use of the beautiful pool and table tennis table. Also

Wij zijn net terug van 2 weken vakantie (juni 2022) in Casa El Limonero en dit is goed bevallen! De vrijstaande woning ligt in een prachtige woonwijk en de omgeving is heerlijk rustig, op het af en toe blaffen van de hond van de buren na (deze lijkt op het hondje van Kuifje/Tintin, dus... we hebben hem Bobbie gedoopt ;-). Het huis is groot en ruim en voorzien van alle gemakken. Alles wat je nodig hebt in de keuken is ruim voldoende aanwezig voor 8 personen. Er staan veel keukenapparaten en er is een BBQ. Een wasmachine tot je beschikking hebben is altijd fijn. Ook een TV met de vertrouwde Nederlandse zenders ontbreekt niet. Door de ligging van de woning ervaarden wij in en rondom het huis veel privacy, net zoals bij het zwembad. Het zwembad is heerlijk (zeker tijdens de hittegolf die wij daar meemaakten). En prettig aan het huis is dat je altijd wel een plek kunt vinden waar het aangenaam zitten is met zon, schaduw of een een verkoelend briesje: op het ruime balkon met prachtig uitzicht, bij het zwembad en zelfs aan de voorzijde van de woning. De ligging van de woning vonden wij ideaal. Het hebben van eigen vervoer is echter wel een vereiste, maar dan ben je ook met 10 minuten op het strand, bij de winkels - supermarkten in overvloed - of in het bruisende centrum van Platja d'Aro. Prettig is dat de contactpersoon (ook) nederlandstalig is. Ze was goed bereikbaar via whatsapp en hielp ons bij vragen of naar een oplossing zoeken bij een probleem. In ons geval was er een probleem met de Wifi. En verbeterpunten? We hebben airco beneden in de woning gemist tijdens de hittegolf, alhoewel we wisten dat deze alleen boven aanwezig zijn. De bedden bevielen ons wat minder goed, maar dit is altijd persoonlijk, dus niet zo zeer voor verbetering vatbaar.

We have just returned from a 2 week holiday (June 2022) at Casa El Limonero and we really liked it! The detached house is located in a beautiful residential area and the area is wonderfully quiet, except for the occasional barking of the neighbor's dog {this one looks like Tintin's dog, so... we named him Bobbie ;- ). The house is large and spacious and equipped with all comforts. Everything you need in the kitchen is more than enough for 8 people. There are many kitchen appliances and a BBQ. Having a washing machine at your disposal is always nice. A TV with the familiar Dutch channels is also included. Due to the location of the house, we experienced a lot of privacy in and around the house, just like at the pool. The pool is lovely (especially during the heat wave we experienced there). And a nice thing about the house is that you can always find a place where it is pleasant to sit in the sun, shade or a cooling breeze: on the spacious balcony with a beautiful view, by the pool and even at the front of the house. We found the location of the house ideal. However, having your own transport is a requirement, but then you are also at the beach in 10 minutes, at the shops - supermarkets in abundance - or in the bustling center of Platja d'Aro. Dutch speaking. She was easily accessible via whatsapp and helped us with questions or finding a solution to a problem. In our case there was a problem with the Wifi. And points for improvement? We missed air conditioning downstairs in the house during the heat wave, although we knew that these only upstairs zijn.De beds suited us less well, but this is always personal, so not so much room for improvement.
