Weekend away in Northern of Portugal

Upon our early arrival at the house received very warmly. Peter, one of the owners surprised us with a few bottles of champagne, because he knew we had something to celebrate this holiday. We are also extensively informed about the state of affairs and about the environment. It was very friendly and there was a very relaxed atmosphere quickly. With the village within walking distance, the friendly Portuguese, and the surprisingly beautiful country, this has become an unforgettable holiday for us, the children and grandchildren. The house was fine for us, the pool we have frequently used by the beautiful weather. Porto, a beautiful historic city, where you do not have enough in a day. Worth the trouble of returning. Very nice welcome and hosts. From my blog: We stayed in a magical place near Porto. In nature, without TV and relatively few digital incentives. The alarm clock consisted of a number of sheep, each with a bell, who came to graze under your bedroom window in the morning (luckily not too early). Bird concerts were everywhere and at the foot of the mountain you could hear the Tamega River. Every day fresh juice from the oranges, lemons and grapefruit that were still hanging on the trees and had survived the winter. Lots of flowers, plenty of green scrub and trees with nice and fresh scents. Pure peace and breathing space, unobstructed. Everything else was fine!

Very hospitable reception. Beautiful studios with a beautiful decoration. The forests around the domain are very relaxing. Definitely recommended for anyone who wants to escape from the hustle and bustle and relax in the blissful and green north of Portugal. The hospitality of the Portuguese is a a major asset for choosing northern Portugal as a travel destination, and even for visitors who still want to visit the bustle of Porto, there is a convenient train connection in the neighboring town of Penafiel that will immediately introduce you to the breathtaking station of the city of Porto. worth repeating!
