Great arrival! Fine description received in advance by mail (in 3 languages). Key to pick up in a key box at the house itself. You will receive the code by e-mail. Just enter the address based on the coordinates as our fairly recent navigation did not recognize the street. It is a spacious house, fully equipped and with a wonderfully large and flat garden and nice swimming pool. In the country house full use of the BBQ. Environment is remote, rental car is necessary to get somewhere. But wonderfully free, no worries or nuisance. The owner returned as tips: - Place stair gates on at least the upper terrace so that our son of one and a half can safely enter the terrace. With every turn you are taken out of your sleep. Our 6 year old son slept well there. Also a nice idea from the owners: leave something behind for the following residents. This was also the case with us on arrival (think of a pack of macaroni, dishwasher tablets, soft drinks, etc.). For example, we have left a freezer full of ice and a fridge with tasty and practical things behind.

By a misunderstanding (code turned out to be sent to the wrong e-mail address) we could not initially enter the home. Luckily stayed there other holidaymakers in one of the other homes on the grounds which the local representative phoned which was quickly on the spot and could help us. The house was equipped with every comfort. However regrettable the abundant ants were present. The area seems desolate but shops and beaches are nearby. Nice pool that we used almost daily. The location is pretty central to, among other things visit the cities and villages of which there are several on the UNESCO World Heritage List (Sintra, Alcobaça, Batalha, Tomar, Combria, Lisbon, Obidos, Fatima - all within the distance of 25-150 km). The latest from the main road to the house is a paved but admittedly pretty bad way. It was some searching to find the place (especially at night). Overall we can say that this was a very good, fun vacation.

The route to it was clear to us and the arrival a great experience with a far sea view. We had a very nice week and enjoyed every moment both the weather and the beautiful spacious and fully equipped villa. We love silence and it was. Do anything and everything during the day and then retreat to the end of the day in peace and quiet. And enjoy the sunset every day with a delicious glass of dry white wine. And then we went out to eat or ate at home. Nothing had to be done, everything was possible. Good thing, unfortunately, we could not try the spacious pool. It was, after all, mid-November. Nice point for several trips in the area. We were well catered for as culture sniffer. And finally also recommended to go cycling in Lisbon.

We were welcomed by an enthusiastic lady who gave us some info about the house and its surroundings. We were not really surprised by the view during the day, "the evening was that what captivated more. Unfortunately the cottage is not really separated from the neighbors.
