Holiday Mansion in Culemborg

Nature at its best! A beatiful forest nearby the houses. Lovely place for relaxing walks and biking with the spreaded greem lands all around the houses. Been there for 5 days and will go again sure but with a local sim card amd my own car. The place is outside the city amd by car 10 to 15 minutes to the nearest supermarket which you will need since the place does not have a supermarket. Also Taxi service is hard to reach. The phone signal is not strong always so you need to try many times to call the taxi company and the front desk is not always welcoming the help to order the taxi. Though the lady there helped us for once to order a taxi from the park phone when our phones did not function due to being away from the city, the other lady was not happy to help. I understand that it is not her job to order a taxi but it would be great to help out a foreigners not feeling lost in a foreign country. Be aware that Uber does not cover this area so either bring your car or schedule with a taxi beforehand. There is an Asian restuarant and ice cream shop in the park itself. The house we were in was perfect! Clean and organized with everything we needed except toilet papers. After all, the place is very worth it amd amazing! One thing I dont want to forget: beds are heavenly comfy and soft!

Technical maintenance of the house. Namely: (1) The gas fireplace intended for warmth and atmosphere was defective 2 of the 3 days. According to a friendly employee who came by and did not get the fireplace burning, this had happened much more often and had not been remedied. Despite various promises, no maintenance technician came to adequately resolve the defect. (2) Whenever the boiler / boiler or similar started, there was an enormous noise, so loud and intense that it seemed as if the foundation was being demolished. Using warm water while the 11-week-old baby was sleeping was therefore definitely undesirable. (3) the adjacent house with whirlpool was inhabited by approximately 6 young people. Music was played until 5.00 am, fun was played with bottles rattling, large helium balloons were filled over and over again. This gave us a very nasty night. Apparently there is no night security in the park.

The house is wonderfully spacious and the garden offers enough space for a large group. We also had two dogs with us and they found a hole in the fence, the owner has indicated that they need to be repaired Extra fun are the table tennis and football table The kitchen provides everything you can think of, including dishwasher cubes. owners have given is to place screens against the many flies / mosquitoes. This way you can enjoy a nice airing, without being bothered by these flying insects at night.Furthermore, we enjoyed it and would love to come back here.
