Ons verblijf in het pittoreske vakantiehuisje is uiterst aangenaam geweest. Het contact met de eigenaren verliep prima, ze zijn vriendelijk en gastvrij. Bij aankomst bleek het huisje in kerstsfeer te zijn gebracht, en gaf een warme en gezellige uitstraling. Het huisje is gezellig, knus en op een rustig park gelegen . Dit was juist waar wij naar op zoek waren, even de drukte van de randstand achter ons te laten en te genieten van elkaar, de natuur en de rust. De tuin bij het huisje is netjes verzorgd, en biedt de mogelijkheid voor huisdieren om vrij rond te lopen en de tuin te verkennen, het is namelijk geheel omheind. Onze kinderen vonden het heerlijk om te achtertuin te spelen, en 's avonds te genieten van een geroosterde marshmallow. Er was een vuurschaal en voldoende hout om een avondje samen te genieten buiten door gezellig bij elkaar te zitten bij het warme vuurtje. Voor de wandelaar is er in de omgeving voldoende te beleven, diverse mooie landschappen. Bijvoorbeeld nabij Exloo is een mooie heide omringt door bossen met een aantal in lengte variërende wandelroutes. Ook voor de fietser is er voldoende mogelijk! Ook zijn er diverse historische bezienswaardigheden, echter was dit tijdens ons verblijf gesloten wegens de geldende lock-down. Dit heeft echter ons verblijf niet minder prettig gemaakt, en al met al is het een prima vakantie geweest. Wij danken de eigenaren voor het mede mogelijk maken van een fijne kerst in het mooie en rustige vakantieoord!

We have booked for 4 people + 1 dog. That was spacious enough. Everything clean, enough space in bathrooms and bedrooms. Refrigerator on the tight side, because if you have to get rid of drinks and groceries (especially in the summer) and you would book for 6 people, this refrigerator (table model) is too small. We have been able to put our drinks on the garden table in the cold. Plates, cutlery, glass, pans, dishes, etc. all in order. Walk distance to swimming lake and catering facilities at the lake. Due to corona measures we ordered food and this was delivered on time. Lovely forest walks. And we made nice car trips to the Hunebedden, among others, there was obviously nothing open, unfortunately!

The perfect house to have a wonderful holiday. And certainly not a standard holiday home. You can not think of it as crazy or it is in the house. Within 2 km you can do your necessary shopping or eating out. In 15 minutes you are in the center of Emmen for more extensive shopping. A truly beautiful place where you step directly into the nature in nature with lots of forests and hiking trails. And hunebed D31 within walking distance. Our Boston terrier Pippa had the time of her life here. And so did we! We could live here!
