House is generous and is together with one other house on a huge terrain of 800.000m2. This area is used for agricultural purposes such as olive growing, hazelnut cultivation and chestnut cultivation. The pool is fine and is cleaned every day only needs to be shared with the residents of the other house. In addition, there are very few beds for the maximum of 18 people that can be present in the two houses. House is generous but very simple furnished as usual at this price level in Italy. Our dishwasher was broken and those of our friends who together with us in the house were too. We quickly got a new dishwasher installed, our friends did not. In contrast to what we expected there was a washing machine with us that we could share with our friends. In our eyes there was only one real disadvantage to our house and that was the noise pollution. The distance from our gate (with remote control) to our house was about 150 meters, but after 50 meters you did drive under a railway viaduct first! From 05.30 in the morning there was 1 or 2 trains every hour and that was really annoying although one of course had more problems than the other. It did not ruin our holiday or something, but it would be the only reason why we probably would not go here again. The environment is beautiful. It is not as beautiful as Tuscany (and perhaps therefore a lot less touristy, we were about the only foreigners in the wide area) but beautiful. Outside Rome, especially the villages are less special than in Tuscany. The beach can be reached within half an hour and is easily accessible at Castello Santa Severa, and concerns both a public and private beach. Lake Bracciano is nice but not spectacular.

Very nice environment where the house is beautifully situated on the hill. We arrived a bit early, Daniella the owner gave us a good tip for lunch. House was beautiful and clean. The restaurant is run by Sylvia, the daughter of Daniella, who cooks very nice with lots of fresh vegetables and herbs from their own garden. The pool is more beautiful than you would expect from the photos, very nice. There is a lot to see in the area, such as the cathedral of Orvieto and the organic winery of Sergio Mottura in the nearby village. Lake Bolsena is recommended clear water, good place to snorkel and rent a speed boat.

Mooie grote villa met ruime slaapkamers. Vooral de veranda is heerlijk, altijd een goede schaduwplek met veel zitplaatsen. Grote keuken om zelf in te koken. Ook de buiten BBQ gebruikt, de eigenaresse zorgde dat we hout kregen om hiermee te stoken. Zwembad is lekker dichtbij, veel strandbedjes om gebruik van te maken en een buitendouche omnje af te spoelen. Eten bij het restaurantje bij het huisje is ook een aanrader, zelf gemaakt 4 gangen diner gehad met echte Italiaanse gerechten. Makkelijk contact te leggen met eigenaresse, gaf tips voor activiteiten in de buurt. Kortom, top verblijf!

Such a great experience in this unique authentic apartment! The tranquility of the tiny mountain village makes it complete. The host Fernando & hostess Sylvia do everything to give you the best possible Italian experience. Hospitality is of paramount importance and you notice that. Up to and including the freshly baked pizza and the delicious freshly made marmalades. In addition, the works of art by Fernando can be admired. Ask for it and you will see the most beautiful works of art during the tour. They are for sale! ;) are you looking for peace? Then this is the place!
