Holiday home with Bubble Bath in La Rotta

Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed at the estate by Carla, the owner, and her two employees. Our accommodation was the last house of a row of apartments. The house was clean and a bottle of wine with some treats were waiting for us. The staff is very helpful and friendly. There is a large bbq on the field with a long table with benches. On the estate are hedges of rosemary, pots of salvia and basil. As soon as we started cooking food, we first walked around the field. By the pool, sun loungers are also available at all apartments so that you can choose where you want to lie down. It should be taken into account that the water is not drinkable, in any case, one can not guarantee the quality, but given the color we did not dare. In the shop you can get spring water, wine and olive oil and order sandwiches. We were in August and then there are mosquitoes against which you have to rub yourself well. The culture lover can pick up his heart here because Volterra, San Vivaldo, San Gimignano are not far away but also Sienna, Florence are a 1-hour drive from the property. The coast is 1.5 driving from here.We have had a wonderful holiday and enjoyed it very much.

Borgo Migliorini is nothing short of a magical place. An hidden gem tucked away in the beatiful Abetone mountain, it provided a marvellous frame for our wedding which we hosted here in mid-June. Blessed by fabulous weather, our guests raved about their stay in this cabin and were just mesmerized by the beauty of it all. The cabins are built with ex-novo materials salvaged by the hamlet's owner, who descends from a long line of illustrious artists and put his very soul in the restoration of this hamlet by scattering pieces made by his ancestors over the centuries. If you are not too fussy about things being polished, are a nature lover and rustic is your style, look no further. Great value for money.

We were received in a very welcome way by the owners and a member of their team. We were shown around the grounds and in the cottage / apartment. The wine, oil and other goodies were ready. Beds were covered and it was neat and clean. The beautiful terrain which lies on a sloping hill is beautiful and fully equipped. Centrally located to visit Volterra, Siena and San Gimignano. Also a train station was good to drive, so that Florence was easy to visit. So a fantastic location! The only criticism was that there were a lot of mosquitoes and despite special mosquito-lights, stuff to lubricate and mosquito screens, we have had problems with that.
