Vacation with dog - Pet Friendly Holiday in Vergemoli

Nice location on a mountain. Nice view over the valley and Pistoia. Because of the wind it is a bit chilly and there is little room to sit out of the wind. Nice and tasty in the summer but fresh in the spring. Luciana is very cordial and cooks the tastiest dishes, pies, pizza and cookies for you. Very sweet. The kitchen diner is pleasant, bedrooms are also cozy. Bed is a matter of taste I think. The one is good on the other less, but we have not got any back problems in any case. The living room is spacious, but very old sagging couches. You are more comfortable outside. We were there with a toddler and toddler. That went well. There is a crib, high chair and slide. No toys available. Glad we could just use the washing machine. Everything is present and really neat clean. No dust in sight and the chlorine air comes in the bathroom. Very nice that everything was so clean. We have visited Pistoia, Lucca and Pisa and from the house you can walk a bit on the Strata Romana hiking trail (both at the top near the church and below at the entrance of the house). Supermarket is 10 minutes drive (Conad) or 20 minutes in Pistoia (coop). Baker at St Felice and a fatastic ice cream shop opposite the Conad! The owners are really very friendly. They do not really speak English, but with hands and feet and a translation app on your phone you will probably end. We had to search for the house. Tomtom stopped before the village. But from pistoia you can see the house on the mountain. Drive up the narrow road after the second bridge and after tig hairpin bends you come to the house.

On arrival we were very warmly welcomed by the owner and her brother. The owner does not speak English, but thanks to her brother's interpretation, everything was perfectly explained. The cottage itself is very quiet and well maintained. There were no comments either indoors or outdoors! The pool was fantastic and was regularly cleaned by the owner (in the early hours, so we were never disturbed). We were with 2 couples, one of whom spent the night in the sofa bed. This bed was also very comfortable! Thanks to the air conditioning in the rooms, it was always nice and fresh in the house. Our dog was also welcome here and could enjoy the fenced garden. The only comment we had were the mosquitoes (and the ants). The owner had also thought of this by making mosquito repellent available. It is, however, recommended to provide this yourself (a few sprays for the body to keep the mosquitoes aloof). Pistoia itself is also a very beautiful town, not yet affected by tourism and a lot of authentic elements. There are some nice shops in the streets and many nice restaurants. The restaurant less than 100m from the holiday home is definitely recommended! You can go there on foot and you can eat very well with friendly managers. In our eyes this holiday home is highly recommended at this location! Both the environment, the town, the house, the owners and the residents have been able to charm us.

Tuscany is of course a beautiful environment. The villa is located outside the big city of Pistoia. Our navigation system sent us through a very difficult route. There are different roads from Pistoia up into the mountains, make sure you follow the Via di Sant "Alesso or the Via Cialdina, these are the easiest passable.Pistoia is pretty centrally located in Tuscany, and beautiful cities such as Pisa, Lucca and Firenze can be reached by car or train in the foreseeable future, especially for Firenze the train is ideal for nature lovers, the nature reserve Acquerino is a must, where the trip alone is worth it. For sporty people, running and cycling (mountain biking) ) in the immediate vicinity of the villa certainly possible, although this in warm weather can only really in the morning. On arrival we were met by the landlords, who explained everything their English was a bit flawed, but sufficient to pass all info about The accommodation was very nice and in excellent condition.All facilities worked properly and were clean.There is a pizzeria (il Postino) within walking distance, and the superm arks in Pistoia can be reached by car within 10 minutes.Please be prepared that there is no living room, just a dining table, which for us was sufficient. In addition, there were indeed a lot of annoying mosquitoes outside. But that does not detract from the rest of our vacation.
