The villa is beyond all expectations. We are here with 6 adults (parents and 2 adult children with partners) and a toddler of 2 for 8 nights in the second week of June 2024. The garden and the view are breathtaking, as is the peace and space. The swimming pool is large and is maintained every day by the owner and by a robot and has a nice temperature. Almost every afternoon and evening we ate at the pool under the beautiful canopy. The kitchen is very complete and appliances such as washing machine and dishwasher are of good quality. Beds are fantastic and the house is very clean. I can't help but say thank you to Luc and Sara and also thank him for the delicious tiramisu. Sights are easily accessible from Siena to Pienza, etc. Pay attention to lunch times in Italy if you are with small children (siesta). If you like peace and quiet, this villa is a dream place!

Wij hebben een prima verblijf gehad in villa Sara. De eigenaar is zeer vriendelijk en zijn vrouw heeft ons geleerd hoe wij haar tiramisu konden namaken. Heerlijk! De rondlopende hond en kip hebben ook veel plezier opgeleverd. Het huis is erg netjes, wij verbleven 2 weken en tussentijds werd er een linnenwissel gedaan. Geweldig, hebben we nog nooit gehad ergens. Het zwembad is groot genoeg voor je dagelijkse baantjes. De bedden liggen prima. Grote keuken. Groot nadeel tijdens ons verblijf vonden wij echter de "dazen". Grote steekvliegen die in en om het zwembad zaten, waardoor wij ons niet voldoende konden ontspannen in het zwembad. Eenmaal uit het zwembad als je droog was en je lag onder het afdakje, dan was het verder prima vertoeven. Prachtig uitzicht.

My husband and I have just spent 9 nights at Il Monte. Our cottage was clean, comfortable and very charming with an equipped kitchen (4-burner cooktop/no oven) and modern bathroom. The scenery surrounding the property is simply breathtaking. Our hosts were friendly but respected privacy and they had a lovely friendly dog – we miss Theo!! Francesca speaks English fluently and Adriana speaks Italian and some French. I understand that Adriana runs a restaurant on the property during peak season. There is a large unheated swimming pool and property is not air conditioned although that was not an issue whatsoever for us. There are several choices of accommodations - 1, 2 3 bedroom all of which are lovely and comfortable. The setting is remote, quiet and secluded ~ 3 hours drive from Rome airport. Best to rent an SUV not smallest vehicle for rough terrain. Probably not best for guests with physical challenges because terrain is quite steep. Barns and horses very well kept and we enjoyed rides immensely. Francesca is a very professional and patient instructor. It is a short drive to Monte Santa Maria Tiburina with a couple of restaurants or a bit further to Citte di Castello for many to choose from. You can buy groceries at Conad along the way – make sure to buy paper towel, tissues and toilet tissue as well as all food/drink that you need as it is a fairly long (+20 min) drive to buy anything. There is a small “tuck shop” at Oscarias Restaurant in Monte Santa Maria Tiburina. We loved our visit and hope to return again soon. We never wanted to leave!
