Delightful 2 weeks holiday in Zandt at the Wenzl family. The apartment covers the entire lower floor of their house. They live above them. There is enough room with living room, a very complete kitchen with dishwasher and even an espresso machine, nice large bathroom with bath and shower and 2 bedrooms. Outside a large garden with open pool and a seat under the balcony. You can have a nice meal outside. In the village of Zandt it is very quiet but it is a great area for walking. Hiking trails are indicated everywhere. And the surrounding area is so beautiful, many forests but also extensive meadows. You see the deer walking like this. In Zandt there is a supermarket, a butcher and a bakery for daily groceries. If you need more, you can drive to Cham. There is a mall where you can get everything you need. If you are willing to drive a bit then there are plenty of things to do and see. The city of Regensburg is very nice. You can go on the Danube but also shop very well. There is also a wild west town nearby that is also very fun for children (Pullman City). The highest mountain nearby is the great Arber. You can walk on foot, but you can also go up with a cable car. And above you have a beautiful view. Furthermore, you have the Wandelwipfelweg. That's a path of wood on high poles so you look over the trees and the mountains. Also, everything is explained so it is also very fun and educational for children. And then there is of course the Bavarian forest. In the Tierfreigehege you can see the animals that occur naturally there. This is free. If you are in Zandt in the summer then you can go to Pahlhof pension. There is a beer garden but you can also eat delicious on top of the mountain. And every Thursday there is a barbecue evening and you can eat as much meat, salads and bread as you like for € 10. Really recommended. You can also enjoy delicious food at the Früchtl Hotel. There is usually a barbecue evening on Fridays. This is 500 meters away
