It is a nice big holiday home, everything you need is there. Everything is also neat and clean and there are plenty of plates / glasses, etc. The car can also be parked in the private driveway. The village where the house is located is not very special, but 2 restaurants, and -for the MTB-er- it is located directly on the Kellerwald. Because the weather was not great, we were happy with a larger house. In the basement is an (infrared) sauna and a ping pong table, the latter is often used by us. The cities of Marburg (recommended) and Kassel are a 45-minute drive away. For the teenagers who were with us, there was a good WiFi connection, which is nowadays a 1st necessity of life. We had a nice week here. The only downside I think is that you have to pay for your consumption afterwards (water / oil / electricity), this should have been included in the booking price.

De ontvangst was geweldig. De eigenaar had koffie gemaakt met gebak bij en een lekker flesje wijn klaar gezet. De hout kachel is echt super. De bedden zijn ook heel goed om in te slapen. De omgeving is werkelijk prachtig. Oneindig veel wandelmogelijkheden. Enige minpuntje is de badkamer die wat ruimer en lichter mag zijn. De rest is werkelijk super en voor herhaling vatbaar. Dear host (Harry) who awaits you with coffee and cake and gives a detailed explanation about how everything works regarding the house and what there is to do in the region. The village is very quiet and is close to the forest. Ideal for walkers with pets. Vast grasslands interspersed with forests dominate this area. The surrounding neighbors are friendly and always up for a chat. There is plenty to do within a 20-minute drive around the location, especially around the Edersee. Cycling, canoeing, boat hire and of course hiking. Nearest place for shopping, etc. is Bad Wildungen, here are the more extensive retail stores and a beautiful indoor and outdoor swimming pool. The larger city of Kassel is 50 minutes away. The location itself has a spacious garden and is fully equipped except for a washing machine. Contact with the owner is good. All in all a great location for a quiet holiday.

Strong pros and cons very welcome, with Tee mit Kuchen and extensive information by the friendly owner. The surroundings are amazingly beautiful, with endless hiking possibilities. In the evening and at night's quiet silence, with only rural villages without industry in the area. The accommodation was equipped with all the conveniences (beautiful shower, ceramic hob, good cold fridge, nice modern tv, series of reading books and games, etc) - Minus the cottage is very dark due to the small windows with also curtains. One or more reading lights would be nice, just needed, even during the day, and certainly on a gray gloomy day. In addition, we do not seem to have a new lock in the front door any unnecessary luxury. We are so messed up that after the first time we left the side door open (not locked) because we were afraid not to open the front door anymore.
