A very warm welcome by hostess Valerie Horn. The apartment is located in a house from the 16th century, partly built in and on top of the old fortress wall. It is long and narrow, with a wider loft as a bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. Through a door through the more than 1 m thick fortress wall you enter a terrace where you can relax. Simple, but comfortable and fully equipped. And not to forget: everything is spotlessly clean. The medieval Riquewihr is a picture straight out of an Anton Pieck book. There is a wide choice of restaurants, from a pizzeria to a Michelin star. There is also much to see and do in the immediate vicinity. For us this was the second year that we spent a week here. And it certainly won't be the last time.

Fijne eigenaars, schoon en rustig ondanks dat op een steenworp afstand de hoofdstraat ligt. Vrij klein & bescheiden ingericht, maar alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. Parkeren kon achterom op hun eigen terein tegen kleine vergoeding. Wel krap, maar voor een normale auto te doen. Leuk terras om de laatste uurtjes te chillen. Wel even op tijd goed kijken/overleggen hoe je aan moet rijden. Normaal mag het dorp niet in als toerist, maar de achterom straat ligt buiten de drukte en wordt het gedoogd. Eigenaren hebben hun eigen wijnmakerij/kelder waar we een rondleiding kregen. De wijn proeverij was een smaakvol feestje! Dus op de terugweg gingen er de nodige doosjes wijn mee terug . Leuk en fijne week gehad. Dank je Valarie & Christof, wellicht tot de volgende keer.

Het huis was groot genoeg voor ons. 4 volwassenen en 5 kinderen (waarvan 2 16 jaar) bedden waren opgemaakt, genoeg handdoeken ter gebruik. Wasmachine aanwezig etc. Heel compleet allemaal. De gastheer en gastvrouw zeer vriendelijk en toegankelijk. Wonen vlakbij en anders zijn ze in het restaurant te vinden om de hoek. Geen minpunten op deze locatie. Veel ligt in de omgeving om te bezichtigen, alles is prachtig. Supermarkt is ook dichtbij. De wi-fi was slecht of er gewoon niet. Maar op te lossen met een hotspot ofzo.

Nice and clean flat close to the city center and other points of interest. Rather tiny for 6 people, we were only 4 and that was ok.
