I made a wonderfull trip by the Regional Rail to Lam (from Köln ten hours, and with a Quer Durch Deutschland ticket a very reasonable price). From there a bus is going to Lohberghütte (some twenty minutes). From Lohberghütte you have to walk back for some fifteen minutes before arriving at the apartment building. The host (sir Kaiser) was so absolutely friendly to pick me up at train station. From my balcony I had a tremendous view on the Osser (1300 mtr mountain). Very nice area with a lot of opportunities to walk. The nearest supermarket (a very small one in Lohberg) is thirty minutes walking. There are busses to buy as well as a big supermarket in Lam, but last but not least from the bus station to the supermarket.

The cottage was very comfortable. The rooms are big enough and we didn't miss anything. We felt very comfortable. Our 5 year old grandson had plenty of space to play, the garden is large with an adjoining forest. With the very good weather, we sat and grilled a lot on the terrace. Our landlords always had an open ear for us and a little chat was always possible. All in all, we would like to thank you again for the pleasant stay and wish the Schramm family all the best for the future, maybe we'll see each other again.Fam. Thaler, family Wolff and William
