Spring break 2025 - Book your holiday for 2025 in Vendée

We were received very nicely by the caretaker Sylvie. She is French, but if you cannot figure it out completely, she links it back to the Dutch-speaking owner. We have stayed in the house with our daughters, their partners our granddaughter of 1 year and 3 bearded collies. The house is tastefully decorated and you really lack nothing. The swimming pool with its cozy seating area and the fantastic spacious garden are the icing on the cake. Around the house you can walk in peace with the dogs. The coast is easily accessible (50 minutes to La Rochelle) and there are nice towns to see in the nearby area. The abbey in Nieul is also worth a visit. In short this is a fantastic stay

We enjoyed the great house. We also had a great time at the Océanide Center in Fontenay-le-Comte, and a day at NaturZoo de Mervent. Also a day at Le Grandéfi. We have "saved" a frog and a salamander from the filter well of the swimming pool. Despite the pet weather, we took a dip in the pool. The area is beautiful. It takes a while to find a restaurant and shops. Finally we came out. In the Super U and l’Eclair in Fontenay le Compte Closing fantastic house with beautiful decor. Thanks for the presence of books, CDs and DVDs. The welcome sweets are much appreciated. Also the presence of kitchen roll and toilet paper. Overall a wonderful week. We were very warmly welcomed by the proprietor, the cottage was beautiful with every bedroom a bathroom this was super !!! The area is very rural, so the dogs enjoyed the walks. Still, we were on the coast very fast. It's a shame that the weather was a little less so we did not enjoy the swimming pool. Only the nails at the pool are very dangerous for both children and adults, something should be done here. I think they are meant to capture the sail in winter but suggest to cross rubbers in the summer.
