This house is in a historic farmhouse and the old fireplace, walls and stairs are still present in the house. The kitchen and bathroom have been modernized. Bathroom is neat, but the bedrooms are on the upper floors and the bathroom on the ground floor. There is no dishwasher, but there is a large fridge and freezer. The owners are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location is beautiful in the middle of the Normandy countryside within walking distance of the hamlet of Montaigu-les-Bois. Villedieu and Gavrey are approximately a 10-minute drive away, both with a weekly market and a wide range of shops. Beautiful and quiet walking area, the coast with beautiful salt marshes, mud flats and dunes is 25 km away.

Normandy's NATURE at its best. On top of a hill with a wide, unobstructed view of meadows and forests. An almost English park-like landscape with hinds and squirrels, and at the bottom of the hill a rushing river for the fly fisherman. An indescribable PEACE, you are alone, on a dead end road, with only the house of the old but cheerful owners at some distance. Sympathetic people, who are there when you ask for it. The house is simple, but has everything one needs. The location is good, the coast is not far away. Nice holiday.

We zijn in dit huisje al meerdere keren geweest. In mei 2016, en in mei en september in 2018, en nu in sept 2023 dus voor de 4de keer. (Lees de desbetreffende recensies van die jaren) We hebben eigenlijk hier niets meer aan toe te voegen. Rust, privacy, en een vriendelijke eigenaar, en een grote afgezette tuin, waar de hond normaal gezien niet uit weg kan. Het was ons zoals gewoonlijk weer buitengewoon goed bevallen, anders waren we hier niet voor de 4de keer.

Woning met heel veel privacy , groot eigen terrein ook voor kleine honden geschikt gezien de tuin een goede afrastering heeft. Terras aan de woning geeft in de middag schaduw. Veel gemak in de keuken , alles is aanwezigen functioneert ook. Bedden zijn zeer goed onderhouden inclusief traagschuim matras. Supermarkt U plus drive is op 4.7 km afstand met tank mogelijkheid. Dierenarts is naast de supermarkt .vriendelijk ontvangst . Wordt NL gesproken.
