Children friendly Holiday Rentals in Marly-Gomont

This holiday house ticks all the boxes for me. It is beautifully located in the slope of a valley. Together with a small dwelling of the owner it is surrounded by a well maintained en very spacious garden. The house itself is very refined renovation of an old barn and has a lot of charm. Besides all this beauty, the site and the house are very well equipped. There are two terraces and a bbq-corner in the garden. At the entrance, you're supposed to store your (walking) shoes, so an extra pair of indoor shoes come in handy. The ground floor is organized around a central and open staircase. The open kitchen has enough working space and overlooks the dining table. The fireplace has comfortable couches and an ottoman. The whole is tastefully furnished. Upstairs, the landing is nicely lit from above. There are two tidy bathrooms. However the design of these seems a bit outdated, everything is well maintained. The sleeping rooms are cosily arranged, but the screens could have been a bit heavier for darkening, in my personal experience. All in all, this really is an outstanding holiday home in the western region of the Ardennes. I'm very happy that I could stay here with seven other friends, we had a wonderful time. I'm very grateful to the owner with whom I had a very good and pleasant contact. I hope we can come here again!

Very well equipped cottage. Everything present in the kitchen (dishwashing liquid, dishwasher tablets, towel, mixer, ...). Top garden with double swing, slide, 2 large trampolines (shared with the other holiday homes), BBQ (not very clean grids, steel brushes were included), patio furniture and parasol. We were alone, so could enjoy the peace. Negative points: bedroom layout (was in the description, we knew in advance), you come upstairs in the 1st room, then door to the hallway with a single bed, and then you enter the 2nd large bedroom. To reach that room you have to pass the 2 other rooms. It was also very hot (under the roof), opening windows (with darkened curtains ) then caused mosquitoes. We also found the beds to be very hard and creak at the slightest movement. Conclusion: top house, but sleeping well was difficult.

Location is great, dead end street. Garden, great with many seats and a playground for the kids. A gate in the garden leads you to a beautiful nature reserve. Inside it is complete, beds are good, enough space in all rooms. And I'm guessing nice and cool in the summer. Kitchen was my favorite, a real kitchen, everything is there. I only missed a garlic press, but that's personal. Within walking distance of Bruly-de-Pesche 1940 bunker. Recommended!! Two tips for the great host: The information folder is very nice, but outdated. And I think the most important thing is to do something with the first staircase, place a second handrail on the right and a stair gate for safety. But all in all a nice place to relax. An absolute must!!!
