We hebben met een grote G genoten van ons verblijf op la Borderie. De ontvangst van beheerders Tom en Imke was hartelijk. Op het domein stond rust troef, de lavendeltuin met vijver (en kikkers) was romantisch, het uitzicht over de vallei fenomenaal, het huis en bijbouw sprookjesachtig met binnen de nodige comfort,... Wij keren zeker nog terug om de Dordognestreek verder te ontdekken.

Mooi en zeer rustig gelegen aan het einde van een wat lange toegangsweg. Het huisje was netjes, schoon en had alles wat je nodig hebt. Door de dikke muren was het huisje ook koel tijdens de warme dagen. De beheerders zijn erg vriendelijke en behulpzaam. Een heerlijk zwembad om af en toe af te koelen.

Very nice place in a very quiet environment in the middle of nature. From the terrace of the house there is a magnificent view. The house is well equipped. A recommendation.

Had a perfect holiday at the end of June with our 3 daughters. Saint-Leon is a very nice small village on the Vézère where you can eat well and do some small shopping. We were there immediately after the borders reopened after the lockdown, it was still quiet but we had the impression that it is a pretty touristy village. The nice thing about the house is that it is outside / above the village, on the slope. You will not be bothered by tourism, but you can look it up if you feel like it (10 minutes walk). The house and the place are beautiful and absolutely everything is there: from a swimming pool and trampoline to a hand blender, bath seat and umbrellas. It is all there. We brought too much stuff ourselves, completely unnecessary. A lot of clothes is not necessary because there is a washing machine. A big plus for us personally was the presence of a water softener; we have them at home (so we are spoiled) and usually the shower / bath is a flaw in the holiday. Not here. Carole and Alain are very friendly people who are always available but never annoyingly present. They enjoy seeing their guests enjoy their vacation. During our stay the dishwasher broke, within 2 hours there was a brand new one. The pool was of course the highlight for the kids. They played and swam there for hours. The bath is spacious and clean and the water quality is closely monitored. The surroundings are beautiful. You can walk and cycle nicely and there are many things to do (we have not made many trips because the house and garden offer enough). The tree climbing park "le conquil" is highly recommended and there are several caves and castles in the area. All in all a perfect holiday!
