Holiday home for 10 people in Masseret

The cottage itself fully met our expectations Complete, clean, spacious roof, privacy.The pool was open. Our documents stated that the reception would be open until 1900, that is 1800, but a welcome letter was neatly placed at the reception. At least one of the ladies speaks perfect English. There is also some tourist information to take along and walking books to see in. In September the park was very quiet. Only on Saturdays there is an animation team at the lake, making it a bit noisier. On the side of the entrance and some more down in the park you probably do not hear that. In our period there were two houses occupied by workmen at the park, who call the home front from 1900 to 2100 quite noisy. Sometimes at the reception, but sometimes also at the house. The internet around the reception and at the swimming pool is sufficient for standard use. There are also tables with chairs. The lake can be reached in 5 minutes on foot (there is also a parking lot), with lots of green / trees and play equipment in and around the water.Door the warm weather we have seen many places and only one lamper walk (5 hours around the waterfalls of Murel) Our favorite trips were- The Gouffre Padirac (without waiting time) combined with Rocammadour) - Collognes-la-Rouge with Turenne - Uzerche with Chateau de Pompadour- Chateau Castelnaue-Bretenoux with Autoire + Loubressac (Nice walk through a waterfall ) - Gimel-les-Cascades with Chateau de Sedieres (beautiful walking area) - and many more -) Many nice restaurants. Our best experiences- Hotel Ambroise in Uzerche (beautiful terrace at the backside menu 14 euros, fine) - Chez Ernestine between Gouffre Padirac between Rocammadour. (terrace, menu 19 euros perfect)

From the warm smile upon our arrival to the friendly conversation that preceded our departure, our host was of a truly remarkable kindness and (discreet) attention. The place is magnificent, authentic and the biodiversity here is not not a hollow word! Flowers, vegetable garden, fruit trees, swallows, butterflies, cows, flying insects, but which do not bite! - very few mosquitoes thanks to the work of birds, and few flies despite the presence of cows which graze silently around. In short, if you love nature and the men who do everything to keep it intact, then you will be in paradise! For those who are expecting a 6 star service in the Côte d "Azur style, I suggest the Riviera, otherwise, do not doubt that this Corrèze stay will do you a lot of good, and make you want to come back quickly! On arrival it was a bit of a search for the right driveway between two huge hedges, but once you found it, the fun started. We have been warmly received by Saskia who showed us everything. This villa had for us (5 adults) everything we needed for a week. The beautiful views, the well-kept swimming pool, a fully equipped kitchen, 3 bathrooms and enough places to sit in or out of the sun. We are in the area to Lac de Rouffiac and Château de Hautefort. Furthermore, the supermarket is (relatively small) 5 minutes drive and a larger supermarket 20 minutes drive. We had received tips for typical French markets, but we skipped them this year. All in all it was a super nice villa, with its charms (sometimes some clamping windows, creaking floors) that belong to such a grandmother. We were able to rest and enjoy for a week.
