Holiday home with fireplaces in Châteauneuf-sur-Isère

The house is situated on a hill with a beautiful view of Privas. Very complete furnished. Swimming pool is lovely. The neighbour is available for questions and problems. Very friendly man. Had a wonderful holiday

A month before departure we received an email from the owners with all the details for our vacation. It said that we had to contact (in French only) the neighbor to arrange the arrival. We have sent 2 messages, but received nothing back on the day of departure. An hour before arrival the neighbor called to make a more concrete appointment. He welcomed us warmly, had a welcome pack with coffee, water, rosé, crackers and jam ready. He quickly led us through the house. That evening he also showed me the Intermarché, which was difficult to reach due to the many road works (even with GPS). The cottage was very clean. The living room, the bathroom and the 3 bedrooms are spacious. There is plenty of cupboard space everywhere, even in the hall. There are many amenities in the kitchen: a bread slicer, a deep fryer, etc. The tumble dryer was broken, the neighbor told. WIFI is very slow there, you can load regular internet pages with difficulty. Belgian channels, and NPO 1-2-3 (the Netherlands) .This is nice. In bad weather, watching television is hardly possible, but at other times there was sometimes no picture and sound. but apparently he could not change that.It is good to know that watching a movie (eg via chromecast or internet or television) is not just possible, especially for the children that was a disappointment.The air conditioning in the house is very nice : in each bedroom and in the living room there is air conditioning, which is easy to operate.The bathroom is spacious, has a rain shower, a bath with a luminous sprayer, a laundry basket.Fine.The cottage has good beds.Outside there is a wonderful Fatboy hammock. The neighbor is a regular guest because he needs to check and clean the pool every few days. He is very helpful with tips for trips or restaurant visits. The welcome folder with information is brief.
