Holiday home for 15 people in Argentat

A complete holiday home for our group of 17 people. The two kitchens were well equipped with sufficient equipment and cutlery and crockery. The rooms were clean. The bathrooms were sufficient and bedrooms too. The large attic was ideal for the children. Nice swimming pool, with table tennis table, table football game, ..., a television room and excellent wifi. Large outdoor area with various seating areas, BBQs, fire baskets, pizza oven, places in the sun or in the shade. Shops (supermarket and bakery) are at a distance (10 km). We had beautiful evenings with shooting stars, lots of sun during the day, nice walks in the area. A few towns within a radius of 20 km to visit, think of Figeac and Saint Céré.

The cottage itself fully met our expectations Complete, clean, spacious roof, privacy.The pool was open. Our documents stated that the reception would be open until 1900, that is 1800, but a welcome letter was neatly placed at the reception. At least one of the ladies speaks perfect English. There is also some tourist information to take along and walking books to see in. In September the park was very quiet. Only on Saturdays there is an animation team at the lake, making it a bit noisier. On the side of the entrance and some more down in the park you probably do not hear that. In our period there were two houses occupied by workmen at the park, who call the home front from 1900 to 2100 quite noisy. Sometimes at the reception, but sometimes also at the house. The internet around the reception and at the swimming pool is sufficient for standard use. There are also tables with chairs. The lake can be reached in 5 minutes on foot (there is also a parking lot), with lots of green / trees and play equipment in and around the water.Door the warm weather we have seen many places and only one lamper walk (5 hours around the waterfalls of Murel) Our favorite trips were- The Gouffre Padirac (without waiting time) combined with Rocammadour) - Collognes-la-Rouge with Turenne - Uzerche with Chateau de Pompadour- Chateau Castelnaue-Bretenoux with Autoire + Loubressac (Nice walk through a waterfall ) - Gimel-les-Cascades with Chateau de Sedieres (beautiful walking area) - and many more -) Many nice restaurants. Our best experiences- Hotel Ambroise in Uzerche (beautiful terrace at the backside menu 14 euros, fine) - Chez Ernestine between Gouffre Padirac between Rocammadour. (terrace, menu 19 euros perfect)

We enjoyed a great holiday in this house! First a great welcome by the owner, a sweet lady who showed us around and showed us the way. She lives on the other side of the building, but fully respected our privacy. We soon felt great at home in this house. There is a spacious garden. The living spaces are rather tight, especially the living room. We didn't see that as a real place to live. The kitchen is somewhat larger, looks somewhat primitive (or authentic if you want), but everything you need is there, including a dishwasher. There are several bathrooms and toilets. Also a bit dated perhaps, but it was enough. The bedrooms are nicely furnished. The large bedroom, with the two double beds, we renamed "salon" for when it became a little cooler outside. But that was not necessary, as it was good to stay outside in good weather. The area is nothing short of beautiful. The holiday home is in "the middle of nowhere". Almost always need a car to visit the villages and towns, markets, caves, ... What struck me most was the enormous peace that emanates from this place. All in all, a nice place that we had to say goodbye to with regret in our hearts.
