Holiday home for 12 people in Brunet

We had a wonderful week in Aups at the Mantet house. The house is placed just outside Aups in the beautiful and peaceful landscape among vines and olive trees. The charming village with restaurants and market is just a 15 minutes walk away. The landlord Cathy is very friendly and helpful. She only speaks French, though, which made long conversations difficult. We would have loved to talk more with her and hear about the region and their production of very delicious olive oil. The house itself is very well-equipped and clean. However, when it is very warm a fan would be nice for the night. But we absolutely love the terrace with the wine pergola. All our meals took place here in the shade during day time. At night you could look at the stars and listen to the cicadas. Also the pool area is lovely with good sun beds for the whole family and cooling water. If you look for a quiet place in lovely surroundings, this is the place to stay. We would love to come back :)

The small, quiet holiday home is an ideal starting point for many excursions to idyllic mountain villages, the reservoir Lac de Sainte Croix and the Verdon Gorge. The beautiful town of Aups offers everything for your daily needs, an interesting truffle-growing museum and can be reached on foot in a few minutes. At the holiday home we especially liked the vineyard-covered terrace, the pool nearby and the wonderful view over the olive trees to the mountains of Aix-en-Provence. In the equipment of the house in particular the new double bed, a comfortable sofa and the well equipped kitchen are to be mentioned. Also for racing cyclists the house is wonderful because of the wonderful tour possibilities. The hospitable and sympathetic owners are happy to provide information about cycling tours, restaurants and the most beautiful destinations in the area. Overall a recommended accommodation to get to know the typical Provence and to recover from the stress of the big city!

The reception was fine, the owner speaks good English and picked us up quickly from the agreed place. The last 1.5 km are bumpy and in a single paved place free style but fine in the first gear. The house is completely refurbished, new kitchen, pellet wood stove and new shower, there is almost nothing missing. The house is absolutely free and the property is completely surrounded by woods, the owner indicates which days he will come for the pool and how Let you not be surprised at the narrow forest road and you have a lot of privacy. The surrounding area is great for walking, the view of the terrace is beautiful over the trees. A great location for nature lovers and visitors to small villages.
