Holidays for RuhesuchendeDas small property is situated in a part of the village Droyes and offering visually French flair. We (couple with two dogs) were very warmly greeted by coming from Holland and good German-speaking (!) Owner with a regional cheese and fresh organic fruit juice. Even the fire blazing already. On the ground floor there is a cozy living room with fireplace, a separated dining area, the modern, open plan kitchen (everything is necessary any), the bedroom and the bathroom. Upstairs are two separate bedrooms. Important for families with small children - the staircase can be secured by a grid werden.Alle rooms we found in a clean, comfortable state. Since we arrived in the winter, it was nice to be able to close the shutters at night. The well-functioning, cost-effective electric heating donated next to the wood stove warmth. The fenced, approximately 160 m² large garden with a covered terrace offers space to relax, there are sufficient garden furniture and deck chairs along with ordinary cushions available. Droyes is the starting point for many short-term goals. As an example, only the Lac du Der called, which is the largest reservoir km² in France with almost 48 and is ideal for hiking, biking or swimming. But even for day trips, the vacation home is an ideal starting point, Langres is only 100 km, Paris 200 km. The owner has designed kindly manifold brochures for many additional tours in Champagne. Pure nature offered us through the many cranes. Meanwhile, spending about 8,000 of these birds winter at the Lac du Der Chantecoq and the sky above or on the fields around Droyes can observe this impressive bird very well. Shopping and tank facilities can be found in the near Montier-en-Der (LIDL, Supermarché), the next Super-U one drives 30 minutes after Vitry-le-François. For us this was

The cottage is fine and equipped with all the conveniences. Cozy in a small village where the residents looked at our dogs with interest and we were able to chat with hands and feet. The fence around the garden is fine and high enough for our big dogs. The surroundings are beautiful and there is plenty to do. The owner of the house sent us a nice and enjoyable receipt mail in which he already explained some things and also gave opportunities for two websites that we have gratefully used. Visited various towns and villages as well as a champagne farm in an authentic accommodation where Monier Champagne lived in the past. Very nice to go there, hear the stories and taste the champagne. With the help of Tripadvisor we found good restaurants 1 of which one really tasted Le Grange aux Abeilles in Giffaumont-Champaubert. Deliciously eaten and a very friendly helpful owner. In the villages in the area we had the pleasant experience that residents tried to help us and to explain things. Such helpfulness does not experience you anywhere. In short we had a very good holiday. A little less point are the flies that are properly stuck and the mattress in the bedroom below has had its longest time. But the pluses make it easy for the lesser points. Overall a must!
