Holiday home for disabled persons in Rochefort

Beautiful spacious compound home. Seems to have been some kind of restaurant in the past. This is reflected in the extensive kitchen facilities where you can prepare dishes to your heart's content. On arrival the accommodation was clean and tidy. We were half an hour late due to traffic jams, but that was no problem. The door had already been opened and we could settle in quietly. The next day the owner came by and we were able to transfer the deposit. It is a rural area, with agricultural activity in the area. They mow, feed, saw and work to their heart's content on the land around the accommodation. But that doesn't bother you much in the garden, because immediately adjacent there are a sweet boar, deer, goats and horses grazing in a closed area. The garden is also ideal for the dog, because it is enclosed and quite large. We had a problem twice during our stay. Once with the washing machine and once with a fire extinguisher that had fallen from the wall. Both problems were neatly resolved by the owner. Other reviews often talk about the noise in the accommodation. That is indeed the case, but for our large family with older family members it was not a major problem. Half of the house consists of only planks as floorboards, and that blocks little noise. The other half has more solid floors, so if you want to sleep peacefully you can choose your room there. For a perfect stay, it is useful if you can speak French. The owner and the people around the accommodation do not speak Dutch or English.

Been to this beautiful house for the third time. Twice in June and now in March. As always, warmly received by the owner, Frédéric. Made less use of the garden due to the time of year, but enjoyed sitting by the fireplace. The dogs also had a great time in the large enclosed garden and they were also happy to be here again. We took beautiful walks in the area again. Beautiful characteristic house with associated furnishings. We love it. Well equipped kitchen, refrigerator with separate large freezer compartment. Compared to last year, Frédéric has made adjustments again. The bath has been replaced by a beautiful shower cabin and new laminate has been laid upstairs or the floor has been nicely sanded. We will definitely come back again.

This large and comfortable holiday home is located in a quiet village in the heart of the Ardennes; you can make beautiful walks and bike rides there. Places such as Trois-Ponts, Vielsalm, Durbuy and Bastogne are easily accessible by car. The house is very complete and the jacuzzi was very nice to relax in (especially with the warm weather this was very pleasant). The only thing we have as a tip for the landlord is a few nice sun loungers for the terrace. They would really add something to the summer experience in the garden by the jacuzzi.
