Holiday home for 20 people in Ötz-Hochötz

The house is in a particularly beautiful location. From the balcony and large terrace you can look at impressive mountain ranges on all sides. The house is easily accessible, but for groceries you have to descend 2 km to Oetz. No problem with the car, but not easy on foot given the steep road. The house itself is located on the first floor (bedrooms) and the second floor (bedroom, living room, kitchenette, small shower room, toilet and narrow long balcony with seating. Everything you practically need is there. However, the lack of an extractor hood was a loss during our warm stay. It became uncomfortably warm in the kitchen, which has no door. So the heat and food smells spread throughout the entire top floor. There is also a dishwasher. Not insurmountable, but impractical. Furthermore, the beds are quite hard, to say the least. Something we had to get used to. The owner and her husband are very helpful and friendly. The house is clean and there are plenty of towels available. There is a lot to do in the immediate area. With the Oetztalcard you can use many things such as mountain lifts, swimming pools and public transport for free. You will quickly earn back the investment as mountain lifts are often very expensive. We also recommend a visit to the Kaunertal (40 minutes' drive). A non-touristy valley full of natural beauty and beautiful views. All in all, a big enough score.

We kregen een heel warm welkom bij dit mooie en ruime appartement. De ingang deel je met de eigenaren, waarna je de trap op gaat naar je eigen appartement op de 1e verdieping. Daar hadden we veel privacy. Het was netjes en schoon. Alles aanwezig in het appartement. Een heel groot buiten terras wat om het appartement heen loopt. Het appartement is naast een snelstromende rivier. De rivier hoor je als je de ramen open hebt of op het terras, maar de slaapkamers liggen aan de andere kant. Er is veel te doen in de buurt met (jonge) kinderen. Wij zijn in de zomer geweest. Kortom, een heel mooi appartement met hele vriendelijke eigenaren.

We stayed in this beautiful apartment in July 2024. Previous positive reviews are completely correct! The following is still useful to know. * There is no washing machine available, so the laundry has to be done by hand, there is a drying rack. A tip: take a day trip to Innsbruck and do the laundry at a "Bubblepoint" laundromat. * The doors and windows are all tilt and turn, very handy. There are no mosquito nets, but there are hardly any mosquitoes or flies. * You get 3 towels per person per week. * The living room is between the two bedrooms and there is an extra connecting door in the hallway.
