Holiday home with BBQ in Carinthia

A lovely little house on the mountain, an absolute must. The cottage is a parent couple who himself lives in the nearby village Völkermarkt. The cottage is fully furnished it is much nicer than the pictures "s suggest. There is a full kitchen with oven and microwave.Using balcony is very spacious and the views magnificent. Keep in mind that it significantly cools" evening by the altitude. We had brought some nice throws, so we could still sit outside. The garden that comes with the downstairs apartment (usually not rented) we did not use, on the balcony we could fine barbecue. Here below is also a washing machine that you can gebruiken.Er is a separate toilet. The bathroom is unfortunately very dated and the bed must be replaced once. This does not mean that it's a wonderful house to spend a week. It is very spacious and there is a private parking for the door. The cottage is not as lonely as the photo 's suggest, over the years, eea built. Warm welcome and good explanation of facilities of the house by landlords. They are very helpful. Chalet is a spacious three-storey house of which we actually only used the parterre (2 people). Good, firm mattress. Good towels. Everything you need is there. Great view of the valley and the slope opposite, with the Karawanken in the distance. On the balcony you can sit (table, chairs, parasol) and lie (sunbeds), both in the sun and in the shade. A house with lots of privacy where you quickly feel at home. The house is a good base for walks around Diex. A walking map with 18 routes (5-15 km) is available at the town hall (euro 1,-) with Diex as the starting point. These walks are clearly marked and signposted and easy to walk (eg Zauberkogelweg, Probstkogelweg, Sapotnigofenweg, Wandelitzenweg). A nice walk in the area is to the Grosser Sauofen eg from the Steinerhütte in Eberstein. The chalet is also a good opportunity to visit the various lakes, nearby cities and museums (eg Liaunig, Neuhaus). In Diex there is a guesthouse (200 m) with a terrace, good meals, coffee and cake. There are no more shops in Diex. Völkermarkt (13 km, 15 minutes by car) with many shops is the nearest place for shopping. It is nice that you are high up and therefore often sit in the sun and look down on the clouds in the valley. As a result, the weather is usually nicer than in the valley. A beautiful location!

We would like to take this opportunity to express our thanks again, it was a great time and we will definitely come back! Everything speaks in favor of this holiday home: the host family, the scenery and of course the house itself. If you are looking for a "holiday among friends", then you have come to the right place. The accommodation was completely clean and as good as new, we immediately noticed that you were has put a lot of effort into this. It's spacious and comfortable, so you can have a good time even in bad weather. It was easy to get to and the connection to nearby seaside resorts, mountains and other attractions is just great - despite the quiet, relaxed area you can always find something to do here. The host family is the absolute highlight - very helpful, humorous and We got on so well, it was like we had never vacationed anywhere else. You just felt at home straight away! To sum it up: The vacation was great! I can only recommend this property to everyone. It is best to book longer than you would have planned, because when you are there you just don't want to leave.
