The house and the place are in one word: FANTASTIC! We had a great week here. Really recommended. We were here with 3 families (6 adults. 4 children) and we had a great time. We had not called in advance, which is recommended, then the caretaker Nathalie comes to the house to give the key. We were lucky that she was there at 4 pm. Luckily she speaks a little English and we got an explanation about the house, what we should pay attention to and how to use the pool. There is not much to do in the immediate vicinity, but that is not necessary for us. We had 30 degrees C this week so the pool was our 1st entertainment. In addition, the corona measures have been tightened up in France since July 21, so from that moment on you must be able to show a recent test or vaccination certificate. Unfortunately, we were therefore no longer able to go to a castle or amusement park from Wednesday. We did visit the castle of Amboise, which is highly recommended! Magnificent! The market in the medieval town of Loches was also worth a visit. This is on Sunday morning and Wednesday morning. About half an hour's drive from the house. The house is fully equipped, the beds sleep wonderfully, there is a mobile air conditioning in the attic. In the kitchen there is a filter coffee machine and a Senseo. There is also a washing machine which is free to use. There is also a smaller house next to the house where children's toys are available for the really small children. A good supermarket (Intermarche) is in Descartes, about 10 minutes drive. Our route planner (google) first indicated the wrong location, perhaps more convenient to enter the gas station Carburant Intermarche. There is a gas station in the parking lot.

On arrival we were warmly welcomed by the owner Nathalie. She told us everything about the house and the opening and covering of the swimming pool. She told us where we could go shopping and gave tips about the local markets and the like. The house has a beautiful view over the farmland and is centrally located at approx. 20 km. away from Loches and near Descartes. Here is a large supermarket. There is not much in the small village of Cussay but there is a distributor of the Baguettes within walking distance. Several beautiful castles along the Loire, Vienne and Cher at an hour's drive. Loches is also very beautiful with a nice market on Wednesdays and Saturdays mornings. The house is very suitable for 10 people and the kitchen is very extensive. You are not in each other's way. Really enjoyed the pool and the wonderful evenings outside on the terrace. Great location.

A warm welcome (by Nathalie the supervisor) in the beautiful villa which has a beautiful view of beautiful fields, which have a calming effect on the people. A feeling of total freedom to enjoy nature, silence, relaxation. Pool well cared for, but the role to roll out the sail was broken, to repair. Spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, toilet on the corridor / 1st floor plus point. But unfortunately this toilet was put out of use during our stay, too bad because it was necessary for the children. In this region you can visit castles, cycle, kayak, fish, visit amusement park and skim markets with regional products. We have had a wonderful holiday with our team. Warm welcome.Accommodation very well. Only a more sturdy table outside would be handy. The refrigerator downstairs in the berh loft is also due for replacement. We had exceptionally good weather and so we mainly lived outside and therefore made a lot of use of the table and refrigerator outside. Furthermore, a beautiful house with lots of space and a very nice domain and great pool. Very quiet location.
