Small nice village roads lead down to lovely sandy beach, bathing jetties with bathing ladder, jumping tower, barbecue area and toilets. If you want to swim in the Baltic Sea, it is about 6 km and here too a nice and nice beach. It is 6 km to the town of Figeholm and here is a shop, restaurants, service and tourist info and to the city of Oskarshamn, about 13 km south and there are many events in summer, shopping centers, restaurants and a genuine city center. Around the area there are large forests, many small lakes, hiking trails and nice bike paths. Bicycles can be rented directly by the homeowner on site. Early mornings and evenings you can often see animals such as moose, deer, roe deer, etc. To see moose up close, Virum's moose park is only about 60 km away. Well worth a visit. If you want to do day trips, there is a lot to both see and do. You can visit the coastal town of Västervik (the pearl of the East Coast) with a lot of boat traffic, picturesque city center, many events, shopping, etc. Or take the boat from Oskarshamn to Sweden's second largest island Öland and then continue by car across the bridge, see the city of Kalmar and then home. The Swedish "glass kingdom" with several glassworks and ceramic production is very close. For the youngest, a visit to Astrid Lindgren's World in Vimmerby is probably at least 60 km away.
